An Exhibitat Rye Town ParkSeptember 19 – Nov. 30, 2008Opening Reception:Sunday, Oct. 52-4 p.m.My techniques are mixed, based on hand-building and modelling. They are techniques that allow for freedom, a subject which infiltrates my work in inauspicious ways. Glazing is a play on textures – mat, shiny, layered and more, using a free-hand to build up the surfaces. The Raku-firing, with its aspects of surprise and random results, gives me rich rewards. |
